बच्चे हर राष्ट्र का भविष्य होते हैं जिन पर राष्ट्र का विकास और सुरक्षा निर्भर होता है। उन्हें उनके बचपन से ही देश के प्रति प्रेम की भावना, कर्तव्य और दायित्व का बोध कराना बहुत जरूरी होता है।

बच्चों के बालमन में अगर अपने बचपन से ही देश भक्ति की भावना आ जाती है तो वह सारा जीवन अपने देश के प्रति प्यार और श्रद्धा के साथ बलिदान की भावना से ओतप्रोत रहते हैं।

हिंदी सिनेमा ने भी देशप्रेम के जज़्बे को बख़ूबी अभिव्यक्त किया है। आज भी देशभक्ति के कई ऐसे पुराने गीत हैं जो सदियों से बेहद लोकप्रिय हैं। ये कुछ ऐसे  बेशक़ीमती गीत हैं जो देश के हर नागरिक को राष्ट्र के प्रति अपने प्रेम और श्रद्धा का इज़हार करने के लिए शब्द प्रदान करते हैं।

देश की आज़ादी के 7 साल बाद सन 1954 में प्रस्तुत डायरेक्टर सत्यन बोस की फ़िल्म ‘जागृति‘ का गीत ‘आओ बच्चों तुम्हें दिखाएं झांकी हिंदुस्तान की‘ बच्चों को अपने राष्ट्र की अनुपम बलिदान गाथा से अवगत कराता है।

इस गीत को कवि प्रदीप ने लिखा और गाया है तथा इसे संगीत हेमंत कुमार ने दिया है। इस गीत में बड़े ही उत्कृष्ट तरीके से देश के हर कोने से जुड़ी देशभक्ति की घटनाओ और उनसे जुड़े देशभक्तों के बलिदानों को बच्चो के प्रति पेश किया गया है।

बोल रही है कण कण से क़ुर्बानी राजस्थान की

देखो मुल्क मराठों का यह यहां शिवाजी डोला था
मुग़लों की ताकत को जिसने तलवारों पे तोला था
हर पर्वत पे आग जली थी हर पत्थर एक शोला था
बोली हर-हर महादेव की बच्चा-बच्चा बोला था
शेर शिवाजी ने रखी थी लाज हमारी शान की

जलियाँवाला बाग ये देखो यहीं चली थी गोलियां
ये मत पूछो किसने खेली यहाँ खून की होलियां

मरनेवाले बोल रहे थे इंक़लाब की बोलियां
यहां लगा दी बहनों ने भी बाजी अपनी जान की

ये देखो बंगाल यहां का हर चप्पा हरियाला है
